How Installation Works

A licensed HVAC technician in gloves connecting refrigerant gauges to an NG wall-mounted mini-split during a professional installation
Professional install

A licensed local pro installs it, start to finish.

You order online and you never touch the equipment. A certified technician does the whole install, which is what keeps your warranty valid.

See the three steps

From order to a running system

Three steps. You handle the first one. We and your technician handle the rest.

Step 01

You place the order

Pick the system that fits your space. Freight is already in the price, so there is no separate shipping charge. Sales tax is added at checkout.

Free shipping included
Step 02

It ships free from CA or TX

Orders leave our California and Texas warehouses in 2 to 3 business days. You get tracking the moment it hits the dock.

2 to 3 business days
Step 03

A licensed tech installs it

An EPA-608 certified technician mounts the units, runs the line set, makes the refrigerant connection, pulls a vacuum, and starts it up.

Full install, done right

Why a licensed technician? Code requires the refrigerant work to be done by an EPA-608 certified pro, and doing it that way is what keeps your manufacturer warranty valid. NG does not perform installation and we add no labor markup to your order. Use your own technician if you already have one, or send us your zip code and we will point you toward licensed technicians in your area. You pay them directly, so you stay in control of the price and the schedule.

What the install costs

Straight answer, plus help lining up the technician.

Plan for local labor
Install labor is a separate cost, paid to your technician, and it varies by job.

What moves the number is your local market, how far the line set has to run, and how many zones you are putting in. A straightforward single-zone install sits at the low end. Multi-zone and central systems take more labor and cost more. We do not quote labor, because we are not the ones doing the work.

The equipment price you pay us already includes free freight. Sales tax is added at checkout. Labor is paid directly to the technician you choose.

What to ask your technician

Five quick questions that tell you the job will be done to code.

  • Are you EPA-608 certified, and will you pull a proper vacuum before charging?
  • What is your rate to install and start up a single-zone system like this?
  • Will you check the line set length against the factory charge and add refrigerant if needed?
  • Can you confirm the electrical disconnect and whip meet local code?
  • Will you leave me the startup readings for warranty registration?

Talk it through before you buy.

Our team walks through sizing and install questions, and we can point you to licensed technicians near your zip code. Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Pacific.
