How long is the warranty?

Every system carries 6-year compressor, 3-year parts, and 90-day remote coverage automatically, no registration required. Register within 60 days of installation and the term extends to 8-year compressor and 5-year parts. Full terms are on our warranty page.

How fast does it ship?

Estimated delivery: 7 to 13 business days, including processing and transit, from our California and Texas warehouses. Freight is free and already included in the price, with no separate freight charge at checkout. Details are on our shipping policy.

Who installs it?

A licensed local HVAC technician handles installation, including mounting, refrigerant connections, and startup. Installation labor is separate and paid to your technician. What does the price include?

The price includes the indoor unit, the matched outdoor condenser, a remote with Wi-Fi, and a 16 ft insulated line set.Freight shipping is included too, so there is no separate shipping charge. Sales tax is added at checkout for orders shipping to California and Texas.

What if I need to return it?

You have 30 days from delivery to return unused, uninstalled equipment in its original packaging. Non-defective returns carry a 15% restocking fee, and once a unit is installed or charged with refrigerant it can no longer be returned except under warranty. Full details are on our returns policy.

Overview

Voice control is the standout on this one. The 12,000 BTU BLU+ single-zone heat pump works with Google Home and Alexa, and it arrives with Wi-Fi and a handheld remote already included. You are buying both halves of the system together: the IBMH121B indoor wall-mount head and its matched OBMH121B outdoor condenser, running on R-454B refrigerant, with a 16 ft line set in the box.

Cooling is rated 21.3 SEER2 with a 10.8 EER2, and heating output is 12,000 BTU at 9.2 HSPF2. SEER2 describes a whole cooling season, while EER2 describes how the unit performs on the hottest days. Certified under AHRI reference 216598383.

Two honest limits. It needs a 220V circuit, and it carries neither ENERGY STAR certification nor a cold climate rating. Installation is professional only and quoted separately, so labor and job-specific materials are not part of this purchase. Free shipping to the lower 48 states.

Does this kit come with everything to install it?

It includes the indoor unit, the matched outdoor condenser, a remote, and a 16 ft insulated line set. Your installer supplies the disconnect, electrical whip, and any longer line set your installation needs. These items are not included or sold in our Accessories collection. Line set covers are sold separately.

What size room does a 12K BTU unit cool?

Published coverage of about 450 to 650 sq ft is an approximate guide only. Capacity depends on climate, insulation, windows, ceiling height, and layout. Have a qualified HVAC professional perform a load calculation and confirm the system capacity before ordering. Our sizing guide offers additional background.

What refrigerant does it use?

R-454B is the newer low-GWP refrigerant that replaces R-410A on current high-efficiency systems. It is more environmentally friendly and is what our BLU+ line runs. More on refrigerants.
